Royal Brackla

Royal Brackla Distillery was established in the grounds of Brackla House near Nairn in 1812. A line of three ponds formed a stunning landscape feature in the grounds of Brackla House, the residence of William Fraser and founder of the distillery. The still house now overlooks the ponds and although substantially rebuilt last century it remains an eye catching structure reflecting on its reflection on calm days. Royal Brackla is one of only three distilleries granted permission to embellish its name with Royal. King William IV bestowed the privilege on Royal Brackla Distillery in 1835. Andrew Usher developed and launched the first legally blended scotch in 1860 and Royal Brackla malt whisky is believed to have been one of the original components. Royal Brackla 12 Year Old, 16 Year Old and 21 Year Old or the distillery releases.
