Glenlossie

Glenlossie Distillery was established to the west of Fogwatt in Scotland's Speyside whiskey region by John Duff in 1876. A private rail line opened in 1896 to connect Glenlossie with two neighbouring distilleries which enabled efficient movement of goods between distilleries and gave Glenlossie access to the Morayshire Railway and hence speedy connections with the wider world. This distillery's six stills produce a light malt whiskey which is used primarily in the production of a range of Diagio's blends. Whilst very few official bottling have been released Glenlosy whiskey is available from a number of independent bottlers including Signatory and the Connoisseurs Choice range.
